Zoolander 2 UK Release Date Moves Up in February, Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson Lead New TV Spots

We are just weeks away from Derek Zoolander’s return in Ben Stiller’s anticipated comedy sequel. And now Paramount has announced they’re moving up the Zoolander 2 UK release date in February, giving us a weekend of previews before rolling it out wide over the Valentine’s frame.

The Valentine’s frame has steadily become the busiest weekend so far this year on our shores. We’ve got Deadpool, Zoolander 2, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, A Bigger Splash, Jem and the Holograms, Concussion, and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip all opening wide.

It was so busy that Warner Bros. moved up Point Break to avoid the competition. And now Paramount has effectively done the same, shifting the Zoolander 2 UK release date up to give it a two-day preview on Saturday and Sunday, February 6^th and 7^th. That allows fans planning to go see another film (Deadpool) over the Valentine’s weekend the chance to see Stiller’s film just under a week in advance.

Fashion has changed since Derek Zoolander’s days. Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson return in Zoolander 2.

Stiller and Owen Wilson are naturally back to lead the cast. Penélope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Christine Taylor, Cyruz Arnold, Fred Armisen, Kyle Mooney, Beck Bennett, Nathan Lee Graham, and Billy Zane are in support. And the cameos are set to include Olivia Munn, Kate Mara, Benedict Cumberbatch, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Kim Kardashian, Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, and Mika.

Stiller is once more behind the camera. He directs from a script he co-wrote with Justin Theroux (Zoolander, Tropic Thunder), Nicholas Stoller (Yes Man), and John Hamburg (I Love You, Man).

Along with news of the new Zoolander 2 UK release date, Paramount has also launched a trio of new TV spots to get us all in the mood.

The Zoolander 2 UK release date kicks off with previews on February 6^th and 7^th. It then opens wide on February 12^th in the US and UK.
